It's been like a month since I've been on here and it's definately not because I haven't had anything to write about. For the past three weeks our church has been in a time of prayer and fasting. We have been having morning prayer every morning at 6. Barton and I have been trying to make all of them but we have missed a few days, like Tyler Tullos said a couple Sundays ago at church, my bed never feels more comfortable than it does at 5 in the morning when it's time to go get up and go to prayer. However the feeling throughout the rest of the day when I do make it to prayer in the morning is that of no other feeling. I just have peace and patience to deal with whatever the devil decides to throw at me during the course of that day. These past few weeks God has really been speaking to me more than he has before, I believe it's becuase I am letting myself slow down and hear that small voice that is God speaking into me.I love that voice, it's so comforting when I feel like everything around me is going wrong and falling apart, I can rest in him knowing that it's not up to me, it's all in his hands and he knows what he's doing.

Happy New Year

Another year has come and gone and so much has happened to me in those twelve months. I got married to a wonderful man, started a job that is a gift from God, and by God's grace graduated from college. It seems that the older I get the faster the years fly by and I have to try harder every day not to take them for granted. I have been thinking alot lately about what I want to accomplish in the next year and there are many things that come to my mind, however the main thing that is of most importance to me is that I continue to live whole heartedly for God. If I continue to do that then everything else that I set out to do will work out. This New Year's Eve was very different from those of my past. Barton and I hung out at his parents house and popped fireworks. I had m ore fun popping them with his little brother than I ever have before. Just being with my new family was so much fun, just to relax at the house and not have to worry about traveling all over the city from party to party as we usually are doing on New Years Eve. Here are a few pictures from last night just to show you how much fun we were having. Of course it was cold as it should be on New Years, so I was bundled up.
Lance and I lighting fireworks at midnight

Barton and Major (he was so scared of the fireworks)

Barton and I

My brother-in-law and I, we were the only ones popping fireworks

New Year's morning Barton and I met my whole family at Cracker Barrel for our annual breakfast. That seems like so long ago but I can still remember things from when I was that young. This past friday (Dec. 19) I graduated from LSU with a degree in sociology. The main question I've been asked is, What are you going to do with your degree?, my answer: absolutely nothing. I got my degree cause I started and I wasn't going to quit even though half way through I knew that's not what I wanted to do anymore. I wanted to work in a dentist office and that's exactly what I'm doing and I'll be there as long as God allows me to be.I look back and think of all the things I've learned over the years of my schooling. Even though I won't be using my degree in theory, I will be using it everyday. I am better off for having crossed this milestone in my life. I have knowledge now in areas that I never would have ventured into had it not been for my time spent at LSU. Here are a few snapshots from this glorious day in my life.

I want to show it off!!
My gorgeous Mother-In-Law and I

My Siblings: Heidi, Me,Amy, Tim

My parents-these two have invested so much into me-I'll never be able to repay them

Barton and I after the ceremony

The End Is Here

It's almost official. About two hours ago I took my last college final(at least till I decide to go back). I feel like I have been in school forever and now I'm finally done!!I can't express my excitement enough, so now it's on to the "real world" as everyone calls it, work everyday and no more school. Yay I can't wait, know why? cause I love my job! In case you don't know I'm a dental assistant to a great dentist and I love it, it's very close to a Dental Hygienist with a few differences.Maybe after a few years of no school I can go back to school to become a Dental Hygienist, but for now I am content with where God has me. I am so thankful that he has brought me through these college years, I don't think I could have done it without Him and of course the support of my parents and wonderful husband(can't forget him). So my graduation is in 9 days, the countdown is on!

Starting this thing!

Barton has been suggesting to me for a long time to start a blog, I finally broke down and took his advice.
